NYFF Q&A: Little Shop of Horrors

Oh no, they’re releasing a digitally remastered Director’s Cut of Little Shop of Horrors that includes the originally intended, soul-crushingly nihilist 20-minute ending where EVERYONE DIES (which has never been seen in colour before, though a black and white version with incomplete sfx has been circulating on YouTube). One of my most cherished formative touchstones, in which a spectacled dork can overcome adversity and get the girl, all blown to smithereens. So many mixed feelings.
