“See Me Cry” by Seapony // Falling (Out 9.11.12 via Hardly Art)
The excellent new Seapony album drops next week on Hardly Art, and you can stream the entire thing right now over at Soundcloud. One of the highlights from the album has to be “See Me Cry”, which manages to call to mind the vibe of old school R.E.M. and The Go-Betweens, mixed in with some of The Sundays. It’s a nostalgic sound that plays like a dream, as does much of the album. A sweet mix of jangle pop and dream pop influences permeate the tracks and they feel like a big leap forward in style and songcraft from the last album, which was pretty damn good in it’s own right. Definitely give the album a listen while it’s up over at Soundcloud. Highly recommended.
Wow, this is by far the best thing they’ve done yet.
