WTF with Marc Maron / Episode 297 - Fiona Apple

I’ve listened to this twice already. Hearing her describe all her various neuroses is just so ridiculously comforting. Her impulses to try and get into hotel maintenance rooms “just to look at everything”, for instance, or mentally match up days of the week with colours and shapes, lest the day be ruined; it all feels weirdly relatable? And just wait till you hear the hushed, childlike innocence in her voice when she paces herself to say: “There was this hummingbird that made a nest in my yard, and I, um, I got a camera—I have some amazing footage of baby hummingbirds… pooping. off. the. side. of. the. nest”. She’s too much. My heart’s not big enough. ♥
