According to their carefully evasive introductory post on Nordic By Nature, this mysterious synthpop group from Sweden aren’t looking for recognition just yet, and likewise ‘Riviera’ is rife with emotionally distant lyrics — it’s chorus a continual promise that “We will not fall in love” — yet the synths surround with warmth, and the duetting singers swoon with romance. Mixed messages much? Look, SS, holler at me and maybe we could talk this out and mouthkiss or whatever.
