‘Can You Feel It?’ by RElyse

I’ve been steadily settling into the grooves RElyse have left imprinted on my brain ever since yvynyl pointed me towards their Soundcloud. My favourite track of the bunch is this retro-styled callback to the soft-as-felt bedroom disco and sublimated sexuality of Nite Jewel, though the racy lyricism and r’n’b vocal hooks are familiar enough that it ends up sounding a bit like Janet Jackson played at half bpm.
