‘Brothers’ by The War on Drugs

A duct tape bound captive and a rifle-wielding geriatric cowboy form the basis of this narratively tense video for Brothers, which has it’s fair share of nods to classic Westerns. Meanwhile Adam Granduciel’s Dylan-inflected vocals glide above a musical landscape of Americana, finding solace there amidst “fear”, “darkness” and “rubble”, evoking a feeling of hope that’s quintessentially American.
