‘Know Me’ by Frankie Rose
Interesting! Whereas natural progression seemed to dictate that early blooming bedroom-pop artists should expand the breadth, immediacy and accessibility of their sound during their mature, major label record phase (see: Twin Sister, Memoryhouse), Frankie Rose seems to be flying in the opposite direction for her second LP, ditching her backing band The Outs and bringing back the interior intimacy of solo bedroom demos and self-conscious narratives.
Slumberland has deemed this “the new Frankie Rose” and claims that the record “floats free of it’s maker’s history”, which is a promising sign of an artist not willing to settle.
